Charcoal Canister

(1/2) > >>

TeamWeldon:
Cole's 71 had a Reservoir and a charcoal canister for venting the gas tank.  The reservior was located right behind the driver seat and had three plastic tubes. One from the gas tank where vapors would solidify, one that would take the gas back to the tank and one to the charcoal cannister. The cannister was apparently located front passenger side.

This system was/is not intact and you are left with gas fumes. All that is left is the tubing and lines. Any suggestions on what to do?

So I guess you have none of the canisters? You will need them, mine are missing also and the fumes are bad. I was thinking of looking at the junk yard for something off of a modern Ford truck. I'll let you know what I end up using.

BroncoBlair:
You guys can have mine just removed them last night

BroncoBlair:
I have an aftermarket plastic tank that is only vented through filler and i never smell fumes

JustaFordGuy:
My 77 is different because there is no space inside for the tank. Not sure what mine is supposed to look like? Maybe Parkers still has it?
