It is with much regret and sadness that I inform you of a tragic loss to our community.

Mid-Atlantic Early Bronco Secretary and CB member David Gold (MooseyFate) and his wife Ellen were involved in an accident in their Bronco near their home in Pottstown, PA on Sunday. Ellen died on the scene and Dave suffered head injuries and is recovering.

Dave has been active on ClassicBroncos and he and Ellen have been active members in MEB.

Below are links to the news article and to the obituary.

PLEASE NOTE: Their are news articles out there with some images of the accident scene. As per Dave's personal request to our club to not receive replies with speculation, conjecture or questions regarding the accident, I have asked Jon to lock this thread to ensure the families wishes are honored.

The intent of this post is simply to inform the community of this tragic loss and injury to two of our members and I ask that everyone honor his request.

Dave will likely be online soon and will see please keep that in mind and post accordingly if the thread is unlocked or another related thread pops up.

As per an email we received from Dave regarding arrangements:

A short funeral service will be held Saturday 31st at 1:00PM at Emig Funeral Home, 47 North Queen Street, Dover PA 17315.

There will be a social gathering at our house following the service (and drive time back from Dover). Food & drink will be available, but please feel free to bring an adult beverage of your choice.

Dress for both events is casual

Flower donations can be sent through Golden Carriage Flowers, Dover PA 717-292-3549

Saw that on CB, truly heartbreaking to read.  Don't think I'll be driving mine any more till I get the roll bar installed.
