Always ONE
« on: February 18, 2014, 08:49:02 PM »
Just thought I might make some of you experienced bronco guys laugh or cuss. I just got done pulling my first quarter panel off my bronco. It was the front left. Two things....... Why the philips head screw's along the door and who ever designed the location for the top bolt between the grill and fender.#$@&+(%&%$. I got all the Philips out (much to my surprise) and then all of the bolts out in about 10 minutes. Then after at least 45 agonizing minutes I finally got the top one out. There's probably a trick that I didn't figure out and if so I would pay someone for that information. Anyway, I thought some of y'all might get a laugh out of the story.

Yeah that top bolt between the grill and fender is a bitch. I have found that taking the whole front off as one piece and then separating them is the easiest way.

Yes Gary, I should have done that. After I removed the quarter panel I found a small spot of rust which I cut out tonight. Got some dents to fix on the panel also.

I can't wait to see some pictures of the 69. Post up some pictures if you get a chance.

Worked some more on the left front quarter tonight. Removed one more small section of rust. I really do need to take some progress pics. I'll try to get some posted this weekend.
