yea, there is one on craigslist the guy wants $800 for the 3rd member with 4.11 gears.  Not a terrible price, but I really only want the diff and he isn't willing to part it out.

That's not a bad price but you'd have to re-gear the front. Too much trouble.

do u need just the third member of are u looking for the axel casing ? cause i have a casing and 2 axels just kinda stilling around here doing nothing and the local junk yards around here have tons of 9inch fords laying around all over where i am for less then $150

I'm just looking for the third member.  I have a factory limited slip, but want something more aggressive than that.

Specifically, I am looking for an Eaton or Detroit TruTrac limited slip differential for a ford 9" with 28 or 31 spline axles.  I am not interested in a locker unless it is selectable(ARB/Eaton E-locker/Auburn Ected), nor am I looking for any of the ford variations of limited slip rear ends. 

Also, looking to pay less than $300.
