Title: wiper issues.
Post by: JustaFordGuy on February 24, 2013, 11:35:51 AM
my wipers never parked when turned off so I removed the motor and took it apart. I figured out what was wrong. there is a small plunger that is pushed by the gears. this plunger pushes a set of points like a relay has. these points were corroded. I cleaned them up an put it all back together (pain in the butt). know works like it should. ;D

next I'll install my new intermittent wiper switch. ;)

I got the intermittent wipers working. I had to take the switch apart and clean the contacts but now it works fine. I used an intermittent switch from an 88 F150 and it plugs right in to the original wiring harness. The only thing you have to do is move one wire in the plug part of the 88 switch so the washer will work. I also cut the switch shaft off a little so it would be the same length as the original Bronco switch.
