Title: Window tint / Interior heat.
Post by: JustaFordGuy on August 03, 2012, 01:08:48 PM
II have been noticing lately that a ton of heat comes in through the front windows now that it's so hot out. I was considering tinting the windows to cut down the heat even though I don't like tinted windows.

Has anyone noticed a big difference in the interior heat with/without the front windows tinted? Seems like it would help my A/C work better.

I found some tint called Ultra Shield by Gila. It's about the highest heat rejecting tint I could find online. It is 35% VLT so it's not too dark, blocks 99% or UV light, and blocks 44% solar energy (heat) rejected. I'm going to give it a try.
