spent about an hour grinding tonight.  Don't think I'm going to strip the whole tub.  The places where the bedliner was put over original metal has a strong bond.  It it only where the PO replaced metal that it didn't bond well.  I ground off all the liner/rust from the new metal and hit all of the places that had chips to be sure it hadn't weakened.  Tomorrow I'm going to wash the whole bronco, prep the tub with acetone and put down POR-15 where needed.  I'll also sand the cage and rattle can it black.  Monday I'm going to put down peel-n-seal from firewall to tailgate, install the cage, fit the carpet and reinstall the seats/belts.  Don't think I'm going to get the new seats fabbed just yet.

Working hard on the Bronco but it will not be done today as hoped.
In further developments, looks like I am out of it due to a death in the Family, I may be headed to Indiana in a day or so to take mom up for the funeral of her Aunt. Such is life in the Bronco world I guess.

Dang Brian, I hate to hear about your great aunt. Hang in there and let us know if there is anything we can do.

Maybe you will be able to just come on the 2nd and ride with one of us?

Sounds like you're making good progress. If you're going to work on it tomorrow after 5:00 I may be able to come by after work for a few hours. Let me know.

I pulled the complete engine harness from the donor, it is missing a few of the connectors, like the coil, Guess Imma junkyard hop and grab me some extras.
Thanks for the well wishes, Looks like I leave Tuesday, and will return this weekend, but the cost of the trip kills funds for SOWEGA.

picked up a new compressor from harbor freight.

http://www.harborfreight.com/2-1-2-half-hp-10-gallon-125-psi-air-compressor-67708.html

Hopefully this will be enough to spray with, it has to be better than the two smaller units and I can still piggyback one of the smaller compressors to up the CFM.  And it will still fit under my workbench.

That should work fine for the little spraying you have to do. You should be able to spray the whole interior in less than 15 minutes.

Awesome, I guess that means your compressor worked?

I used a brush on the tub.  The compressor spins up and builds pressure, but I haven't had a chance to test anything beyond that.  Last night was too cold to spray anyway.  I think I'll be able to shoot the first coat on the cage tonight.

Hey Guys,
Just over a week left to go before the trail ride. I hope everyone is almost done getting their Broncos ready.

The plan is to meet up at the Bradfordville Publix shopping center at 8:00AM on Saturday the 2nd. We will convoy to Albany Ga from there.

See you soon.
