Hello, my name is Brent and I go by Harley(Grandfathers name and yes I ride).
Lonesouth recommended you guy's from another forum. Looking for my first 66-77 Bronco
I have wanted one since I was a teenager. I could buy other 4x4's cheaper and readily available but I want a Bronco, don't care what color or model, I don't care if its a bone stock 6 cyl or a modified beast. I'm here to learn and contribute where I can, If anyone needs a second set of hands just ask, If I can be there I will. I don't know the difference between a u13 and a u15 or what an EB is, but thats why I'm here.

Thanks JFG
It really depends on the deal, I don't have as much time as I need to do a full on project. I know the better shape its in the more it cost typically. Minimal rust is a good starting point, I don't know all the different MDL's but I just saw a 73 Ranger on CB that I like and I couldn't tell the difference between it and a 75 Sport or a 66 U13.  I really need advise when i'm considering one because I see them listed around the country in varying states of disrepair and I don't know what it will cost to get them driving. I am in no rush but my starting budget will be under 10,000

You should be able to get a rust free driver for under 10k.  It will not be restored, but good enough to drive daily is certainly within reason.

That gives us enough info to help you start looking.

Also there really isn't much difference between the years and models so finding one with less rust and mechanically sound is more important than year/model. There were some advancements through the years (like power steering, power/disc brakes, auto tranny, etc)  but many of the older ones have been upgraded.

U13 is the "Roadster" and its three years of production. The Roadster's vehicle identification number always began with the proud "U13" representing the vehicle "Series" followed by a sequence of letters and numbers declaring the production month and year. The Roadster was further identified on the VIN tag as body type code "96".
Roadster Production
1966 4,090
1967 698
1968 212
TOTAL 5,000

U14 is a half cab and u15 is a wagon although many of them have had doors added and tops swapped out.

This is a nice u14. if you decide you would rather have a wagon top I am sure someone would swap.
