Saturday February 6.
I need to finish the EFI to get it running, soda blast my new to me wheels, get the tires mounted, and if i have time, swap the gears.
-
I have a few things to do also but should be ready by then.
Blair, you need to get yours going and be sure to plan to make this trip this year.
-
Mine will be ready ;D
-
I kept hearing people on her and CBronco talk about this meet in February but couldn't figure out where it was....Is there a "Slappy Drive" around there??? Back years ago a bunch of us would go up there with 3 wheelers (yeah I said 3 wheeler) and hit the dunes...it was a good time....If this is the case is all yall do is Dune riding or is there some trails???
-
Hey Kat, 3 Wheeler dune rides are bringing back some good memories for me for sure. I remember hauling our big red Hondas up there with my 69 Bronco many years ago.
The SOWEGA ride is awesome, I go every year and always have a blast. You won't want to miss it. The dunes are fun but the trail ride along the river is the best part to me, (the BBQ is awesome too).
-
Im going to do my best to make it. Was looking as some pics from last year and it looked like some good fun. Dont know what stage the Bronco will be in then. BTW Im on my house PC so what ever you did worked...Thanks

Cool, glad that fixed it.
The SOWEGA trip will be a blast for sure, we usually try to meet up here in Tally and caravan up to Albany , that way if anyone has trouble help will be close by. Any day you can get a few Broncos together for a road trip is a good day. :D
-
SOWEGA is getting close, everyone needs to get their rigs ready. I'm close, hopefully finished by this weekend.
-
going to do some work tonight. I've got the lower intake on, need to plumb the fuel pump and measure for lines from the frame to the rail. New gas tank should be in sometime middle of the month, but I may not get it installed.
-
Im going to do my best to show up to this, sounds like a bunch of fun. Im still in the middle of installing my suspension, got the rear on and tomorroo and the next day I will be working on it. Tie rods/drag link came in yesterday, and my new tires/rims should be here tomorroo.....A lot of things going on for the next couple of days. I will post pics when done. BTW my 37x12.50x17 tires and rims will be for sale this weekend if my new rims fit.(they should) If anybody is looking for a set.
But as lonesouth said about his gas tank, I need one. All I have is a working 10 gallon right now and we all know I cant go far without stopping at a gas station.
-
biggest acomplishment of the night was getting the garage cleaned. I also finished installing the lower intake and did some planning. Need to drop my gas tank so I can do some work on the fuel lines.
I determined that
1. I do not have, and hopefully will not need a VSS.
2. Ford changed the oil pump shaft length when they switched to EFI
3. I have a lot of extra wires that do not connect to anything
4. my t-case oil looks like gravy
-
I took Blair's steering column apart tonight. He's going to get the needed parts ordered and then I'll put it back together next week. This is one of the last few things he needs to get finished.
-
One more project that I started last weekend is changing all my off road lights to LED. I got the front bumper 20" light installed and it works great. I got the top 52" light installed but only half the LEDs work. :( I ordered another one from a different vendor and will try again next week. I also have two small 4" LED work lights that I'm going to put on the back bumper. I'll post some pictures when I'm done.
-
great project gary. I'm a believer that you can't have too much light on backroads and offroad.

You don't have a conversion wiring kit?
I think you need a VSS or a substitute, maybe not with an non-electronic trans.
-
i've got a 93 t-bird harness that was reworked for the bronco
-
Yall get to work down there it will be here before you know it :o
