If it will be mostly street the trac-loc will be much better. An automatic locker can be quirky on the street. I have mostly gotten used to my Grizzly but it can be a pain sometimes on the street.

good news is if I don't like the spartan, or if I blow it up, I'm not out much.  If I go LSD, it will be true-trac

BroncoBlair:
What are you going to do with the 3.50 9" gears you pull out? I need to re gear the rear on mine it is a 3.00

lonesouth:
you can have them.  I'll let you know when I get them pulled

BroncoBlair:
ok thanks

lonesouth:
I never bothered to count the teeth on my 9" 4.11 gear, since 410 is clearly stamped on the ring.  After chasing a binding issue, discovering that the rear tires completed a rotation faster than the front, and finally counting the teeth, my rear gear turned out to be 3.50.  So, now I have a 4.11 richmond set on order.
