You need to pull it out and take it to Nationwide Transmissions on Cap Cir. I know the owners very well ( I used to work there 20 years ago  ;)) Mike will build it right.

I know it varies some but what amount do y'all think I need to set aside for the operation? I would normally ask to determine if I am getting duped but if several of you recommend them, that is not a concern. Just need to know how many weeks of romain noodles I need to stock up on :)

It really depends on what it needs. Let me know what it's doing wrong and I'll call Mike and ask what he thinks it will cost.

Does not appear to have anything wrong. It leaks fluid, i believe just from the gaskets and or seals. I can feel it slipping when I accelerate and it hits pretty hard when it shifts. My guess is it is a straight forward rebuild as it about 38 years old, but I would like to use parts that would be tough enough for 33-37 inch tires and not have to worry about it for many years to come. Plus any mods you all think would be of benefit.

Sounds like it would be an easy rebuild. Mike will use heavy duty clutches anyway so it should be no big deal. I'm on vacation right now but I'll give Mike a call next week and get you an idea on cost.
