Carpet is quieter, vinyl is easier to clean. If you are going to use it off road a lot maybe vinyl will be better. I always worry about my carpet getting wet.

I've got carpet on the way for only $45.  Course it is old, used and beat up :P

Hard to say how much quieter, a lot of that will depend on how much insulation you put under in.

If i use non weather proof matting i might as well put carpet in it. that peal and stick is all that i was planning to use.

The peel n seal is weather proof (more than a bronco is) so you should be fine. The carpet kits come with a 1/2" jute padding that holds water like a sponge so it's not good to get it wet. It will rust your floors out like crazy. The last time we went to SOWEGA it took a week for my padding to dry. :(

I think i have decided to go with carpet cut out around roll bar and seats so that i can remove it for trail rides. at least front floor boards.
